“This painting is part of a set of three paintings, that together complete the idea I wanted to share with the onlooker. on the surface you can see a Tasbih or Rosary but there is deep meaning even in the shape and color chosen for this work. the first painting is blue, second Yellow and third Green. When Blue (representing the heavens meaning ascension) combines with Yellow (representing the Sun, ishraqi philosophy) it creates the color Green ( The color that represents the heart chakra, the green dome of Prophet Mohummud pbuh and the color associated with Hazrat Khidr the esoteric mystic teacher of Prophet Moses). The shape of this particular Tasbih is in the shape of a Heart, the Holy portal to soul’s ascension, the gateway to the journey to Divine. The heart is where God resides. Heart is the chakra in the cehter of the seven chakras, with three chakras below and three above it, its the intermediary. The thread is broken and the beads are scattered to denote that at this stage one enters the realm beyond form and count, its the infinite realm of eternal bliss in the Divine companionship. This is because zikr or remembrance of the Beloved, the repetition of the name of God on the tasbih is the path to opening the inner eye and higher intuitive sense through which we can find healing and power to co-create our lives and destiny as mentioned in teachings of Kundalini emphasizes on the power that can be harnessed through the utterance of the name of God again and again. This phenomena is alluded to by Imam Ali like many sages of other religions in his very famous Hadith mentioned below:
“”Your remedy is within you, but you do not sense it.
Your sickness is from you, but you do not perceive it.
You presume you are a small entity,
But within you is enfolded the entire universe.
You are indeed the evident book, by whose alphabet the hidden becomes the manifest.
Therefore, you have no needs beyond yourself.
What you seek is within you, if only you reflect.””
Holy Quan says : 13:28
“Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort.”
